Question from a reader:
Well, they are called Faith Healings for a reason – FAITH (a.k.a. belief) is the biggest aspect of it. The ones that aren’t complete frauds, that is.
“I see on YouTube a lot of people, especially the Pentecostals, who are able to perform miracle healings in the name of Jesus. Eg TB Joshua, Nathan Morris. If, as taught by Jesus that we are children of God and therefore can perform miracle healings as he did in his lifetime, how can we go about it? I’ve tried it on myself but it is frustrating. Do you have a method?”
“Truly I tell you, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” – Matthew 17:20
The placebo effect works 30% of the time, and there’s a reason. The human mind is a powerful tool for creation and belief is the fuel that feeds it.
In order to be able to successfully heal someone, you have to have an understanding about how and why illnesses happen, which situation applies, and you have to have their buy-in.
You cannot heal people who do not want to be healed or who believe they cannot be or should not be healed. And just because someone says they want it, doesn’t mean they believe in it. If they are doing it as a last resort but still have a closed mind, obviously their belief is not in the right place.
Some people do not want to be healed. Everyone ultimately has the power to heal themselves, if they would only realize it, but many will not choose to do so for whatever reason – they don’t believe it’s possible, they aren’t ready, etc.
Where Does Illness Come From?
Physical illness results from one of two things:
1) Life Contract. A soul sometimes chooses to experience an illness as part of a pertinent life lesson and theme. If this be the case, no amount of healing will work. You may be able to ease their symptoms, but this is their challenge to overcome – or, in some cases, to endure.
2) Manifestation. Manifested illnesses (which are probably the majority) arise from neglected emotional issues which then begin to show themselves physically, and are usually compounded by environmental factors such as diet, exposure to chemicals, etc.
You may be able to heal a person’s physical symptoms – the outward manifestation – temporarily, but unless the underlying emotional root cause of the illness is addressed, the symptoms, along with the illness, will return.
This is what holistic healing is about. It approaches healing of the mind (emotions), body (physical symptoms) AND spirit (energy), utilizing all avenues for healing simultaneously.
How To Find Your Modality
Because the entirety of this existence is based in belief, there is no right or wrong way to heal. You find what is comfortable for you and what works for you and you use it. There’s no specific method, only your method.
The key is determining the root of the issue. You can study up on chakras and see how connected the energy body is with the physical body and the emotional body and learn how and where to look for specific symptoms.
My preferred healing method is to focus on emotional healing through things like therapy. There are others who prefer to focus on the energy body and still more who focus on the physical body. Figure out which method interests you most and explore it.
What’s The Method?
Regardless of which avenue you choose, the method is the same. Intention. Belief. Visualization.
I was experiencing a throbbing pain in my ankle for about a week straight, and I began attempting to heal it myself, energetically. I focused on sending energy to that ankle with the intent to heal whatever was causing the issue. I tried for a few days and finally, one afternoon I was sitting on the couch and I tried it one last time. The pain stopped and it never came back.
Why was I able to do it? Perhaps it was simply a lesson in belief. I don’t consider it a miracle. Just another curious part of this strange existence.

My first reaction to the reading was WOW. Your words captured a theme woven into my life right now. The reading has emboldened me to take back my power and inspired me to research some books, get back to meditating and provided a focus.Dina
