Crediting Signs from Spirits

Mar 16, 2015 | Psychic Stuff, Question Submission, Spirit, Spirit Guides

Question from a reader:

“This may sound silly but I feel the need to give credit, where credit is due.  I don’t know the actual names of my spirit guides so I gave them a collective name myself….ECHO.  To me, they are a reminder or an echo of source and opening my awareness.  But if something happens in my home (for example, my keys went missing.  I found them on top of the eggs in the fridge) who do I thank for the prank?  Which relative that has crossed over?  My guides?  Erik?  Does spirit care if they are acknowledged or if they are “getting credit” for a sign when it wasn’t them?”

No, I don’t think they care. 🙂 If they are really trying to get your attention and it’s a specific person, and it’s imperative that you know it’s that specific person, there will be no doubt about who it is. A dream visitation usually works best, in those instances.

I think it’s great that you’ve given your guides a collective name. I tend to refer to mine as a collective these days as well.

I also encourage people, instead of continuously asking for names from their guides, to take a more proactive approach and give them names yourself. They really don’t care. I’m pretty sure the names that my guides have provided for me are just common names that I’m familiar with. It doesn’t really matter what you call them, so long as your learn to identify them. If giving them a name helps, that’s all it’s for.

I’m also fond of coming up with funny nicknames for them. 😀

My first reaction to the reading was WOW. Your words captured a theme woven into my life right now. The reading has emboldened me to take back my power and inspired me to research some books, get back to meditating and provided a focus.
